Two Israeli films selected for Cannes Film Festival

Nir Bergman’s Here We Are, and Dani Rosenberg’s The Death of Cinema and My Father Too are two of the 29 Official Selections for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. The announcement was made last night by Festival President Pierre Lescure and Delegate General Thierry Frémaux. While the May event has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was made to announce the official selection in order to support the films.

Here We Are is a road-trip drama about a father and his autistic son. The film starring Shai Avivi and Noam Imber will be distributed by Mk2 Films.

Nir Bergman is a co-creator of the Israeli-TV series In Therapy (בטיפול) and was involved in it’s many international adaptations.

The Death of Cinema and My Father Too is Dani Rosenberg’s first drama feature. In 2018 he directer documentary on Uri Zohar, Zohar: The Return.
